Bowlers are working hard to put the finishing touches to their greens so another successful season can begin.
The Friends of Marlpit Lane Bowling Green group (FMLBG) have done this since the site in Coulsdon Memorial Ground, Marlpit Lane, Coulsdon, was a victim of council cuts in 2011.
And they are looking for more volunteers to get it ready in time for reopening on March 28, and to maintain it throughout the spring and summer.
Committee secretary Gill Hickson said: "If anyone interested in giving a couple of hours a week would like to get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
“It is great fun and a good way of meeting new people."
