Police dogs, a helicopter and neighbourhood officers joined forces on Wednesday night to capture a man suspected of causing criminal damage.
Officers in a marked police car were patrolling Mitcham at about 8pm when they noticed two men acting suspiciously in Manor Way, near Mitcham Eastfields.
Upon seeing the police car, the two men ran off, jumping over fences into peoples' gardens.
Police called for support from the Met's dog unit and helicopter, which was able to locate the men using its search camera.
