Leatherhead boss Richard Brady signalled his intent this week by agreeing terms with three players for next season.
Jerry Nnamani, Kiernan Hughes-Mason and Louis Wells joined Adam Green in signing new contracts to keep them at Fetcham Grove until 2016.
Brady’s men have not won since March 7 and they followed up last Saturday’s commendable 1-1 draw with champions-elect Maidstone United with a 2-0 defeat at Hendon at the weekend.
It means the Tanners are set to finish the campaign in mid-table having comfortably secured their Premier League status for another season.
The club has confirmed contract negotiations are continuing with several other first team stars with further announcements expected before the end of the season.
“These are player who have done well and want to commit to next year,” said Brady, who also revealed defender Joe Bruce would be on board for next term.
“It is a positive for the club, the fans and all the players, that they want to stay and be part of what we are trying to do.
“We came up into the Ryman Prem and we had only four players, so we are a million miles further forward than then.
“We can just add one or two more players with a bit more quality – which is not easy – so we can build on a good season.
“It means we will not be running around like headless chickens looking for players in the summer.”
Leatherhead host Leiston on Saturday and have Josh Gallagher, Vasileios Karagiannis and Hughes Mason suspended.
