New Tooting & Mitcham United first team coach Mark Hams remains in charge of Kingstonian’s academy, but is in talks with the club over his future.
Hams, former assistant to Ks legend Alan Dowson, was unveiled as part of the Terrors’ management team last week after the Imperial Fields club confirmed manager Craig Tanner would not be in charge next term.
Hams set-up Ks’ academy, in conjunction with Guildford College, during his spell at Kingsmeadow.
“At present I’m still in charge, but there are discussions to be had,” he said this week.
Former Tooting player Hams is hosting a benefit day at Walton Casuals this Sunday for brother Neil Hams, who was struck down by motor neurone disease earlier this year.
The event, featuring a charity football match, kicks-off at 12 noon and also features face painting, live music, a bouncy castle and a football memorabilia auction.
“It is all about raising awareness of the illness and getting friends and family together for a good day in aid of Neil,” added Hams.
