Early indications from Wimbledon suggest it will remain a Conservative stronghold and the Liberal Democrats have done badly.
Lib Dem candidate Shas Sheehan came second to the Conservatives five years ago, but fell asleep in front of the TV at the count tonight after appearing to have lost hope.
The Lib Dems have since gathered for a huddle, presumably to boost morale as they appear to have been beaten by Labour in Wimbledon, and may have lost dozens of seats nationally.
Mrs Sheehan said: "Personally I think it's very sad but the electorate have spoken, or appear to have spoken and it looks like the Lib Dems have come third and Labour second but I think it will be rather a shame for local issues."
This is what happened in 2010:
Conservative Stephen Hammond - 23,257
Lib Dem Shas Sheehan - 11,849
Labour Andrew Judge - 10,550
