Met Police defender Jay Lovett will be looking to plot the downfall of boss Jimmy Cooper’s men next terms.
The 37-year-old, who was at Imber Court last term on a dual registration deal with the Sports, has switched to Ryman Premier League Lewes as assistant to new boss Steve Brown.
Lovett, fresh from a failed play-off campaign with the Blues, ran the academy at Borough and takes on the academy director role at the Rooks, while also helping mastermind a promotion challenge with the first team.
“We are very excited to have secured the services of Jay as Steve’s right-hand man,” said Lewes chairman Stuart Fuller.
“His academy at Eastbourne Borough was recognised as one of the best in Sussex, and we know his quality as a player.”
