She had the crowd's hearts all the way, but Laura Robson is out of the Wimbledon Championships ladies doubles at the first hurdle.
The 21-year-old and US partner Madison Keys were defeated by Russian duo Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina, the number two seeds, in just one hour and 10 minutes.
Robson, who is finding her way back after 18 months out with a wrist injury especially where her serving game is concerned, had joked prior to the game that Keys would serve and they would swap so she could serve again.
However, despite the good humour and morale-boosting chants of "Go Robbo Go", it was an easy win for the Russians (6-4 6-1).
Keys said: "I think it's great that Laura's back and I love seeing her out there.
"I think she's definitely just going to get better and better, so I am looking forward to having her back on court."
The defeat marks the end of Robson's Wimbledon dreams for 2015 after losing in straight sets yesterday to Russia's Evgeniya Rodina.
