Next month, Croydon will host a star-studded concert in support of Jeremy Corbyn. Yes, really.
The line-up for the #JC4PM tour, according to the Fairfield Halls website, includes singer Charlotte Church, comedians Jeremy Hardy, Kerry Godliman, Francesca Martinez, Dane Baptiste, punk poet Atilla the Stockbroker and author Michael Rosen.
The evening will be hosted by Arthur Smith and speakers include Unite’s Len McCluskey, The People’s Assembly’s Sam Fairbain, shadow chancellor John McDonnell and Mark Serwotka of the Public and Commercial Services Union.
Having won Parliamentary Beard of the Year a whopping five times, whatever your political persuasion it has to be accepted that Jeremy has by far and away the best facial hair in the upper echelons of British politics.
To mark the tremendous/scandalous (delete as appropriate) occasion of his concert, we have taken a look at some of the best beards in politics* from across the spectrum over the years. It doesn’t matter where right’s right or left is best, a great beard is a great beard.
The #JC4PM Tour is at Croydon’s Fairfield Halls on Sunday, March 13. Tickets cost £16.50 or £15 concessions. Go to Fairfield.co.uk

*Acknowledgement of impressive facial hair is not a comment on or an endorsement of that individual’s politics. Obviously.
