Some of comedy’s biggest names will head to south west London in July for the annual Balham Comedy Festival.
Pub landlord Al Murray, Reginald D Hunter, Nick Helm, Robert Newman, Richard Herring, Milton Jones, Shappi Khorsandi, Stephen K Amos and Marcus Brigstocke are just a few of the names making their wait to the eight-day spectacular at The Bedford.
Now in its fifth year, the festival organised by Banana Cabaret will this year feature a Comedy Contest with up and coming acts competing for a spot and Screaming for Laughter, Croydon comedian Lucy Porter’s lunchtime comedy for parents with children under one.
The Bedford-based trailblazing theatre company Theatre N16 will also perform a number of shows.
Award-winning comic John Moloney, one of the festival’s co-producers, will host four Best of Banana Cabaret shows featuring the likes of Jeff Innocent, Carl Donnelly, Jarred Christmas, Kate Lucas, Angela Barnes and Adam Bloom.
Tickets cost from £5 and go on sale on Tuesday (May 31) at balhamcomedyfestival.com
