Croydon will lose its biggest cultural venue when Fairfield Halls closes for two years from July 15 – but it is sure to get a fun-filled send-off from Jimmy Carr.
The comedian will play the last ticketed public show at the theatre on Saturday, July 9, before it shuts for a £30m refurbishment.
The 8 Out of 10 Cats host, who in the past 15 years has performed nine sell-out tours to nearly two million people on four continents, is touring his latest modestly-titled show The Best Of, Ultimate, Gold, Greatest Hits Tour which features a selection of his best material and some new stuff.
Tickets cost £30. Go to www.fairfield.co.uk or call 020 8688 9291.
