Barnes will host its own fringe festival as acts prepare to take their shows north of the border.
The Barnes Fringe from July 13 to 23 will feature many acts appearing at the world-famous festival performing exclusive previews at OSO Arts Centre and the Olympic Cinema.
Established names such as Andy Zaltzman, Chortle Best Newcomer nominee Mark Cooper-Jones and the Scottish Falsetto Sock Theatre (billed as Earth’s Funniest Footwear) are among sixteen shows scheduled, including three matinees aimed at children.
OSO Arts Centre’s chairman of trustees Simon Danciger said: “It's going to be a wonderful flavour of the Edinburgh Festival on our doorstep and we hope that it will become a regular feature of the OSO Summer programme.”
