Pop legend Elton John is returning to south west London next summer to play his first gig in Twickenham since 1970.
The 69-year-old will play The Shoop, home of rugby side Harlequins, on June 3 as part of his Wonderful Crazy Night tour.
Sir Elton will perform his biggest hits as well as tracks from his latest album, which the tour is named after.
Harlequins’ commercial director Ned Wills said: “Harlequins is delighted to welcome Elton John to the Twickenham Stoop; this is the first time in the history of the Club that we have had an artist perform a concert in the stadium.
“As part of the calendar of events throughout the year to celebrate the Club’s 150th anniversary, the concert will be a fitting close to this special year and we look forward to welcoming fans and supporters to what will undoubtedly be a very special event.”
Tickets go on sale from 10am on Friday (September 23). Go to ticketmaster.co.uk
