Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has written to Crystal Palace urging them to pay every member of staff at the top-flight football club the London Living Wage.
Mr Khan, in a letter to the owners of Palace and three other London-based teams, said paying all workers the wage would help recruitment and productivity of staff.
As of October last year, the Mayor announced the London Living Wage would increase from £9.40 to £9.75 per hour.
The only Premier League club that is currently paying all of its employees the wage is the west London side Chelsea.
Mr Khan said: “As the Mayor for all Londoners, I am determined we create a city of opportunity for everyone, and the London Living Wage is a crucial part of challenging low pay in the capital.
"My vision is to make London a Living Wage city and that is why I am calling on our great city's Premier League clubs to join me in making that a reality.
"The likes of Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham and Crystal Palace are not only top football clubs, but leading employers in London. I'm calling on them to sign up and pay their staff the increased rate.”
