Clinton Morrison has finally got his wish and reclaimed the Eagles' number 10 jersey.
The Palace striker wore the number during his first spell at the club, but had to settle for the number 11 shirt when he made his return to Selhurst Park from Birmingham in 2005.
But after Jon Macken's move to Derby County in December, the number was vacated and Morrison was quick to make his move when the season ended.
"Number 10 is what I always wore for Palace and hopefully this year it will bring me some luck," said Morrison.
"I asked the gaffer before we went away for the summer and he said yes and gave it to me."
Morrison also revealed there was is a battle taking place at the Eagles' Beckenham training ground to see who claims Jobi McAnuff's number seven shirt.
"I think Carl Fletcher and Paul Ifill want that, they're arguing over it at the moment," Morrison added.
