Quentin Tarantino chose the less-than-glamorous surrounds of Wimbledon dog track to launch his new movie on Monday.
The Hollywood director hosted a celebrity banger race at the greyhound stadium to celebrate the release of Death Proof, which features several car chase scenes.
Among the famous faces at the track were Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright, Daisy Lowe, Sean Pertwee, former Busted heart-throb Charlie Simpson and singer Shayne Ward.
The X Factor star was crowned the winner of the race, having guided a stock car driver to victory via radio.
He was presented with a trophy by Tarantino himself, and the pair closed the show with a lap of honour around the track.
A spokeswoman for Sky Movies, which sponsored the event, said: "Quentin had a really good time.
"He even got sprayed with champagne by Shayne at the end.
"It was a bit different from a normal premiere but it was in Quentin's style."
Quentin Tarantino will introduce his favourite films on Sky Movies Indie from Friday, September 21 to Sunday, September 23.
