Police are appealing for help tracing a Sutton man who may have been involved in a hit and run accident in the City earlier this week.
CCTV images from a car hire shop, released today, show Jonathan Turner present when a white BMW was hired.
The car was later involved in a crash on Monday that left a 29-year-old man with serious injuries.
Two women from Sutton, aged 33 and 23, have already been arrested in connection with the incident. Both have been released under investigation.
Detective Inspector Sarah Smallwood, who is leading the investigation for the City of London Police, said: “A young man has been left with serious injuries and is not yet able to leave hospital and go home to his friends and family.
“We are appealing to anybody who may know where Mr Turner is, or who sees him, to contact police as soon as they possibly can. I am confident someone has information that can help us find him.
“I am also appealing to Mr Turner directly and asking him to do the right thing by coming and speaking to police.”
Anyone with any information regarding Mr Turner’s whereabouts should contact the City of London Police by calling 101, quoting 19*326578.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers via their website or by calling 0800 555 111.
