Remembrance Day services, parades and laying of wreaths at the borough's six war memorials will take place this weekend.
On Saturday the traditional planting of poppy crosses takes place in the Garden of Remembrance outside the old Wallington Town Hall in Woodcote Road.
Attending the ceremony, which begins at 9.30 am, will be the Deputy Mayor, Coun Brendan Hudson who will go on to meet local poppy sellers.
On Remembrance Sunday the Civic Act of Remembrance, including the laying of wreaths, takes places at the Cheam War Memorial in front of Cheam Library, Malden Road, Cheam at 3.45 pm followed by a service in St. Dunstan's Church at 4pm.
In attendence will be The Mayor, Councillor Myfanwy Wallace, Deputy Mayor, Deputy Lieutenant, Sutton's two MPs and Sutton's Deputy Youth MP.
There will also be wreath laying ceremonies at the various memorials in Honeywood Walk, Carshalton, Wallington Green, Wallington, Manor Park, Sutton and Malden Road, Worcester Park.
In the run up poppies can be purchased from the Civic Offices in St Nicholas Way, Sutton.
To learn more about the history of Sutton's fallen soilders residents can visit Sutton Central Library, where various sources including the Army Roll of Honour for World War Two, Surrey Recruitment Registers covering 1908 to 1933 are located.
