Clinton Morrison has forgiven boss Neil Warnock for not letting him reveal a special commemorative t-shirt after notching his 100th goal for Crystal Palace.
The Republic of Ireland international's late equaliser rescued a point for the Eagles in Saturday's 1-1 draw against QPR and completed the outspoken frontman's century for Palace after a frustrating 14 game wait for the landmark goal.
Such is the 28-year-old's jovial nature that his ton-up celebration has been just as highly anticipated as the goal itself.
And the subject of Morrison's celebration has had as many twist and turns as Warnock's ever-changing team sheets.
After scoring his 99th goal against Leicester City in August, Morrison said he would reveal a specially prepared ton-up t-shirt for the occasion - but former boss Peter Taylor scuppered his plans by banning him from exposing the shirt as it would earn the striker a booking.
However, Taylor made a sentimental U-turn by revealing he would let the striker reveal the under garment, so long as he had not already been booked in the game.
But after finally completing his century on Saturday, the former Birmingham City star revealed he was forced to change his celebration yet again.
He said: "The gaffer didn't want me to do the t-shirt celebration because he didn't want me to get booked.
"He knows I pick up silly bookings for arguing - so that's fair enough.
"I just went over to my mum and my sister who have always been their for me - the goal is dedicate to them, the girlfriend and my kids.
"I'm a south London boy and this is my club.
"It's good to do it - espeically for the fans, who have always supported me and never ever got on my back since I've been at the club."
After his three month wait for the historical goal, Morrison admits the frustrating wait for the strike has affected him.
"It was definitely playing on my mind, said Morrison, "I was in and out of the team under Peter Taylor and before Saturday I've had one start under the new gaffer.
"As a striker you always go through periods when you lack confidence.
"Everyone knows I'm a loud person but over the last few weeks I've not been as confident as I know I can, so hopefully that goal can help me a lot."
