The first case of coronavirus in Croydon has been confirmed.
Up until today, Croydon had been one of just two south west London boroughs unaffected by the outbreak.
But an updated list of boroughs where cases of coronavirus had been confirmed was published on Tuesday. It listed Croydon as having one confirmed case, correct as of 9am.
At the moment it is unclear where exactly in the borough the disease was detected.

This news comes one day after St Helier Hospital in Sutton confirmed that one of its patients - who had contracted coronavirus - had died.
Daniel Elkeles, chief executive for Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "We can confirm that sadly, a patient in their seventies who was very unwell with a number of significant and long-term health conditions has passed away at St Helier Hospital. They had tested positive for Covid-19.
"Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patient's family and loved ones at this difficult time."
Croydon Council has issued a statement which you can read in full here.
