A husband and wife have been cooking around 60 meals a day for families struggling to feed their children this month.
Zak Webster and his wife Annie decided to help the community after 'batch cooking too many meals'.
The couple said they decided to offer some of their 'serious meal prep' to those less fortunate and soon realised that their was an urgent need for food.
"After receiving over thirty people reach out to ask for the meals, we decided it was important we continued to do this during the pandemic," said Zak.
"I am happy to donate as much as I can financially and all the free time I have but it is not sustainable as the cost is incredibly high to produce 100-200 meals a week.
"We started cooking the meals three weeks ago and launched a fundraiser ten days ago."
The couple has since cooked hundreds of meals to deliver to families across the London borough of Sutton.
"We have to date made and delivered over 300 meals with the help of the local community delivering and donating," said Zak.
"We didn’t realise the number of people that haven’t been able to provide their families with a meal and as soon as we did it snowballed from there.
"Food is not a luxury, it’s an essential and no one should go hungry if others can offer them help."
Donations reached £1,750 at the time of publishing.
