A stabbing has been reported on London Road in Croydon less than 24 hours after a series of similar incidents in South London left one man dead and several others injured.
London Ambulance Service said they attended London Road in Croydon moments after 3.04pm to find a man suffering from stab wounds.
Responding to a request from the Croydon Guardian, a spokesperson said:
"We were called at 3.04pm today (6 February) to reports of a stabbing at West Croydon Station.
"We sent an ambulance crew and an advanced paramedic practitioner to the scene, with the first of our medics arriving in less than three minutes.
"We treated a man for stab wounds and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre."
Met Police officers in Croydon tweeted a short statement Saturday afternoon (February 6) confirming details of the attack.
A spokesperson for the borough police force said that they had been informed by London Ambulance Service (LAS) about the incident, which reportedly happened near to the junction with Oakfield Road close to West Croydon station.
Shortly after 3pm, we were notified by London Ambulance Service of a stabbing in London Road near the junction with Oakfield Road. Officers attended and a crime scene is in place. A 24-year-old man has been taken to a south London hospital. We await an update on his condition.

The stabbing was the latest in a spate of violent attacks to hit South London in the last 24 hours.
As the Croydon Guardian reported previously, a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Croydon on Friday evening, while nine others were injured in other stabbings that police said were being treated as isolated incidents.
