A Wallington man who went to a garage for a tyre change ended up with more than new rubber - he won a brand new car.
Ramin Ramezani, 37, has won a new car after visiting Kwik Fit in London Road, Wallington.
The news comes after Ramin went to visit the garage following concerns on his tyre conditions on his Toyota Yaris.
During his visit he was advised to get a replacement and was recommended a pair of Pirelli tyres by the team.
This qualified Ramin to enter a prize draw and of all the entrants across the country it was his name which was drawn out of the hat first.
Last week, Ramin went back to the centre to take ownership of a stunning ice white Volvo XC60 R/Design Auto worth more than £42,000.
Ramin, a site engineer who works in road surveying and construction, said: “With the impact of Covid on work our budget has been a bit tight so I wasn’t very happy at the time to have to buy new tyres.
"I then entered another competition on the Kwik Fit website but didn’t win anything so I was thinking I wasn’t having any luck at the moment.
"So it was a massive shock when I got the call saying I had won a car, it was amazing.”
Kwik Fit operations manager Martin Delahunty presented Ramin with his new car, alongside Scott Banks from Pirelli.
Centre manager at Kwik Fit Wallington, Justin Russell said: “It’s great news that of all the drivers in the country it’s one of our customers who lives only a couple of minutes away who has won this competition.
"The past year has been really tough for everyone and we’ve been working hard to support the community, so it’s fantastic that we’ve got some positive news.
"It’s given us all a real buzz to be able to present Ramin with his new car and we thank Pirelli for offering such an amazing prize.”
