Residents have raised their concerns about traffic disruption following a partial closure to Rosehill roundabout from today (March 09).
It has been confirmed that St Helier Avenue on the A217 is closed for repair work following a water leak.
Water Supply company SES confirmed that work could take up to five days.
Due to safety concerns for our workforce and road users, we are going to have to close a section of Rose Hill roundabout to repair a leak. Traffic management will be in place just after midnight tonight. We are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause. https://t.co/mKR4niWa2g

Residents have since taken to Facebook to complain about the repair work.
One person said: "3 months of lockdown no roadworks. First day of school and roadworks started all dual carriageway and Rosehill roundabout blocked.
"Just wondering who makes these decisions unbelievable."
Another person said: "Absolute chaos! Trying to get from Morden to Sutton 1 hour!"
In a statement online, SES said: "A section of the A217 at Rose Hill roundabout, is closed so we can safely carry out repairs to a burst main.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause, but the safety of our workforce and other road users is our priority concern."
