Residents are ‘fearful more stabbings could happen on their doorsteps’ as a second life has been lost on an Addiscombe street in one month.
On Tuesday night (March 30), just after 9pm three people were stabbed in Alpha Road.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and another two injured men attended a South London hospital – it is believed they are connected to the same incident.
It comes less than a month after 19-year-old Tai Jordan O’Donnell, 19, died after being found with knife wounds to his legs at a property in the same road.
On March 3. Kamila Ahmad, 22, of Robinhood Lane, Mitcham, was charged with Tai’s murder and was remanded into custody to appear at the Old Bailey on May 26.
Ward councillor for Addiscombe West, Sean Fitzsimons, said he visited the road this morning but was unable to speak to concerned residents as police were investigating at the time.
He said: “As a local resident I am shocked at the loss of another life on Alpha Road and extend my condolences to the families and loved ones affected.
“Addiscombe West local councillors have urged the police and the council to take steps to re-assure local residents about community safety, many of whom are fearful that further incidents may happen on their doorsteps.”
