Man dies in Sutton house fire
A man has died following a house fire in Sutton.
London Fire Brigade said firefighters attended a blaze at a property in Glenthorne Gardens at around 8.30pm on Friday.
The man was found in a first-floor bedroom and taken out of the property by firefighters.
He was treated by paramedics from London Ambulance Service but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the fire brigade said.
Crews attended from Mitcham, Wimbledon and New Maldon fire stations and the blaze was under control by 9.40pm.
