St Raphael’s is set to launch a wellbeing event and course to support people in Merton and Sutton.
The Living Well Programme will focus on health and wellbeing support for those living with or caring for someone with a life limiting, progressive or chronic illness.
The eight-week self-management course is being offered to residents over the age of eighteen offering a number of techniques.
Sessions include topics such as nutrition, how to improve sleep, relaxation and management of breathlessness and anxiety.
Practical support, information and advice will also be offered to those in need of help.
Rebecca Trower, Clinical Director at St Raphael’s Hospice, said: “We are aware how easy it is to feel isolated and disconnected from everyday things when you are not feeling at your best.
"It can also be difficult to find the services that will support you and those that are important to you when you are living with illness.
"Our new programme aims to empower people to live their life to the fullest.”
Residents are being invited to a drop in session at St Raphael’s Wellbeing Centre in Sutton, on May 19, anytime between 10am to 4pm.
