Police have issued a dispersal order for the entire weekend after reports of hundreds of youths gathering in Richmond.
In a short statement posted to Twitter, a spokesperson for Richmond Met Police said that the order, which gives police heightened powers to disperse groups, would last from Friday evening until Sunday at 7.15pm.
"Dispersal zone put in place due to numerous reports of 100-200+ youths gathering and setting off fireworks," the spokesperson said.
"Area covered is Ham from border of River Thames to Petersham Road/Upper Ham Road and Teddington Lock.
"Start 19.15hrs 14th May for 48hrs End 19.15hrs 16th May."
