A police community support officer is raising vital funds for Mind, Shelter and Cancer Research UK.
Dave Haywood, of South West BCU, has been fundraising throughout May as part of a lockdown fitness challenge.
In a bid to come out of lockdown healthier and less of a "chunk", Dave decided to take on 100 press-ups a day for Cancer Research UK and 100 squats a day for Shelter.
He also plans to finish off the challenge by completing a total of 100 miles in May for Mind.
The 46-year-old, also known as 'Digital Dave, reassures the public in a communications role covering areas Merton, Kingston, Richmond and Wandsworth.
He has worked for the Metropolitan Police for the past 11-years and contributes largely to the social media channels.
Speaking about his challenge, Dave said: "There was a lot of different challenges popping through my Facebook feed so, I thought I would select three, one for the mind, body and soul.
"I just wanted to do something for charities that, whilst doesn’t affect myself, have a crushing effect on other people."
He added: "I’ve been trying to get fit this year as I didn’t want to come out of lockdown without having done anything with the time.
"I’ve lost 3 stone since the end of January 2021, so I was up for the 3 challenges!
"I’ve raised about £400 so far, which is going to be equally shared as best as possible, and whilst not thousands of pounds, every squat, press up and mile goes to help."
