A 25-year-old woman died after she was hit by a marked police car on an emergency call in south London.
The crash took place at around 11.20pm on Wednesday, June 9, on Stockwell Road, Brixton.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the woman died at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed.
The incident has been referred to the Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), which is carrying out an independent investigation.
Cordons remain at the location and traffic is being diverted. Road closures are in place in a number of surrounding streets, including Brixton Road, Stockwell Road and Landor Road.
