A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death on the doorstep of his family’s Shrublands home, according to reports.
Police were called to a disturbance at a residential address on Bracken Avenue at around 12.45am on Thursday, July 1.
Officers found the victim inside suffering stab injuries, providing fire aid prior to the arrival of ambulance services.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene 45 minutes later.
The killer is believed to have knocked on the door of the victim’s family home, attacking him on the doorstep, the Evening Standard reports.
His next of kin have been informed, although a formal identification is yet to take place.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Forensic specialists were filmed assessing the scene this morning, inside a cordon spanning most of the street.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
