Emergency services rushed to Croydon High Street last night following reports that a person was stabbed at a fast food restuarant.
Paramedics were called to McDonalds at North End, Croydon shortly before 8pm on Sunday, July 18.
A spokeperson for Croydon Centrale Shopping Centre confirmed that an air ambulance landed on the roof of Centrale’s car park to assist with an incident in McDonalds on the high street.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.52pm yesterday (July 18) to reports of a stabbing on North End, Croydon.
“We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and London's Air Ambulance.
"We treated a person and took them to a major trauma centre."
Met Police have been contacted for comment.
