Lidl has announced that its new supermarket on Sutton High Street will open next week.
The store will open its doors to the public on August 12, providing eager shoppers with a number of bargains.
During the first week of opening customers will be able to find exclusive deals on selected products including:
- Tri-Scooter w LED Wheels (£8.99)
- LED Fireplace Style Lantern on August 12 (£9.99)
- Black & Decker Toolbox on Wheels on August 14 (£14.99).
It forms part of the company’s £1.3bn investment plans across Great Britain in 2021 and 2022.
The new store will feature a sales area of 1,673m² and include facilities such as an in-store bakery and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.
Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Henry Neel, commented: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in bringing this new Lidl store to Sutton.
"It is great for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area, and we can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”
Lidl said while no longer legally required, they recommend those who can, to continue to wear face coverings in crowded or indoor spaces.
Lidl have confirmed that all stores have dedicated cleaning stations at entrances, hand sanitiser, and protective screens at checkouts.
Opening times are as follows:
- Monday to Saturday - 7am - 10pm
- Sunday - 11 am to 5 pm
