One of Love Island's latest bombshells turns out to have played for Sutton United...
Professional footballer Aaron Simpson entered the Love Island Villa at the beginning of the week on August 9, alongside medical student Priya Gopaldas.
The football star from Kent said he signed up to the show in the hopes that he will "leave with a worldie" and said he is looking for a long-term relationship.
Upon entering the villa Aaron and Priya were both asked to choose two islanders to take on a date, with the footballer setting his sights on Chloe Burrows and Mary Bedford.
The 24-year-old has already shown that he has no problem speaking to already coupled islanders, after he asked Chloe to go on a date despite her being coupled with Toby Aromolaran.
Before entering the Love Island villa, Aaron said: “I won’t do it behind your back…
“I’ll openly tell you I’m about to steal your girl! That doesn’t really phase me at all."
So what do you need to know about Aaron?
Aaron is a defender and played for Sutton United during the 2020-21 football season and appeared 12 times and scored once for the club.
Sutton United recently made history, after being promoted to the National League following a match against Hartlepool on May 23.
They claimed the title for the first time in their 123-year history, after they won 3-0.
