Traffic and travel disruption struck south London on Tuesday evening (November 16) after an emergency services incident near West Croydon station.
Train operators and traffic services both reported closures and delays as the fallout from the incident hit road and railway users into Tuesday evening.
Police imposed cordons and evacuated a number of buildings and shops in the area in response to a "suspicious vehicle" close to West Croydon station.
They later said they had conducted a "controlled explosion" of the vehicle as a precaution and begun to lift the cordons around 6pm.
