A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a fight in Surbiton.
The man, aged in his 30s, was found with a head injury and is in a life-threatening condition in a south London hospital.
It comes after police were called to a group of people fighting in Victoria Road at around 9pm on Monday evening.
A 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
They remain in custody.
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
According to traffic reports, Victoria Road is still closed between St Andrews Road and St Mark's Hill / St James' Road.
There is a diversion in palace for buses 71, 465, K1, K3, K4 and N65.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 20:59hrs on Monday, 3 January to reports of a group of people fighting in Victoria Road, Surbiton.
"Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found a man aged in his 30s with a head injury.
"He was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
"A 28-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
"They remain in custody.
"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
