Police investigating a “prolonged sexual assault” on a train travelling through Croydon have released CCTV images.
The suspect approached a woman on a service from Sanderstead to East Croydon at 1.45pm on Thursday, January 27, asking for directions.
As she spoke to him, the man offered his drink to her as a gift. After she refused it, he took a sip before offering it to her again.
As woman moved to exit the train at East Croydon station, he sexually assaulted her.
Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.
