Vaccination centre staff and volunteers helping south west Londoners get their Covid-19 booster jab have been praised for being “super friendly”.
A stream of people visiting the vaccination centre at Croydon’s Centrale Shopping Centre offered their thanks for making the visit for the top-up dose “so easy”.
Jess who got her jab moments before her partner, Paul said: “We came to Centrale to get our boosters and I strongly urge you to do the same.”
Paul added: “It’s been a great experience and the staff and volunteers have been super friendly.”
Arthur Yeboah, 68, who is originally from Ghana, visited the centre after finishing work for the day as a security guard and was “pleased” that he got his booster jab without fuss.
He said: “There were no problems.
“It was fantastic as all the staff were lovely and it was easy to get my jab.
“I cycle from Battersea to Croydon and back every day.
“I feel very good to have the vaccine.”
Another resident who went to the Centrale vaccination centre to get her booster was Fatima, she said: “The staff were very friendly, and I feel happy.”
Sarah Fazal, 31, a solicitor from Croydon who is originally from Sri Lanka, said: “I feel really good, and I encourage everyone to go out there and get their vaccines and protect themselves and everyone around them.”
Centrale vaccination centre matron Bernhard Krisifoe said: “Vaccinations are the main defence against Covid. It is never too late to come and have your vaccination.
“Come and see our friendly and helpful team who can answer any questions before having your first, second or booster jab.”
