A man in his late 20s has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the chest in Croydon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Tamworth Road shortly after 2.10am today (March 4).
He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed not to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made following the incident.
Road closures have been lifted however a number of crime scenes remain in place.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “ Police were called by LAS at 02.11am on Friday, 4 March to Tamworth Road, Croydon, to reports of a stabbing.
“Officers responded and found a man in his late 20s with a stab injury to his chest.
“He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests.
“A number of crime scenes remain in place.
“Road closures were in place but have been lifted.”
