Police have found a body in the search for missing man Jamie Gilbey.
A body was recovered by officers from the area of South Norwood lake and woodland yesterday morning (Tuesday).
The identity of the body is unconfirmed but the family of Jamie Gilbey have been made aware.
It comes after "suspicious" items were discovered near Love Lane in South Norwood which prompted a murder investigation.
It was thought that Jamie Gilbey, from the Crystal Palace area, had come to harm.
20-year-old Jamie was last seen on February 27.
He was wanted in connection with an armed robbery - but had no prior convictions or cautions for any offence.
On March 4, Dejour Jones, 24, was charged with Jamie Gilbey's murder.
A Met Police spokesperson said: "A body was recovered by officers from the area of South Norwood lake and woodland on the morning of Tuesday, 8 March.
"At this stage the identity of the body is unconfirmed.
"The family of Jamie Gilbey have been made aware."
