An eight-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Mitcham.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Clarendon Grove yesterday (March 26) shortly after 12.55pm.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquires.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called to Clarendon Grove, Mitcham, at 12.57hrs on Saturday, 26 March, to reports of a collision involving a child and a car.
“Officers attended.
“An eight-year-old boy was found injured.
“He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.
“The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.”
