Two men escaped a house fire that damaged part of the first floor of a home in Croydon.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to the semi-detached house on Chaucer Green at around midnight, April 8.
The blaze was under control by 1am, with fire crews from Addington, Norbury, Woodside and Beckenham attending the scene.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by London Fire Brigade and the police.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a house fire on Chaucer Green in Croydon.
“Part of the first floor and half of the external fascia at the rear of a semi-detached house were damaged by fire.
“Two men left the property before the Brigade arrived.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 0009 and the fire was under control by 0056.
“Fire crews from Addington, Norbury, Woodside and Beckenham fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.”
