A man, who is believed to be aged in his 30s, has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Croydon.
Emergency services were called to the scene in London Road at around 5.45pm yesterday (April 14).
The man was found suffering from stab injuries.
He now remains in hospital receiving treatment.
A 70-year-old man was then arrested on suspicion of attempted murder near the scene and remains in custody.
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at approximately 17:45hrs on Thursday, 14 April to reports of a stabbing in London Road, Croydon.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and a man, believed aged in his 30s, was found suffering stab injuries.
“He remains in hospital receiving treatment.
“A 70-year-old man was arrested close the scene on attempted murder and remains in custody.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD5449/14Apr.”
