A man has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Carshalton.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene in Nightingale Road just before 3.45pm today (Tuesday).
A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital by ambulance after being treated at the scene.
Police are awaiting an update on his condition.
An ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer was sent to the scene.
London's Air Ambulance was also sent.
Witnesses or those with information should call 101 referencing CAD 4951/10 May.
Sutton Police tweeted: "Police are on scene in Nightingale Rd #Carshalton after call to stabbing @ 15:43hrs.
"Victim in 30s taken to hospital; condition awaits.
"No arrests at this time, crime scene in place.
"Witnesses/ those with info pls call 101 ref CAD 4951/10 May.
A London Ambulance Spokesperson said: "“We were called at 3.42pm this afternoon (10 May) to reports of a stabbing in Nightingale Road, Carshalton.
“We sent an ambulance crew, two paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer to the scene.
"We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre, by road, as a priority.”
