Police have launched an anniversary appeal for information into the murder of James Smartt-Ford a year ago today.
The 17-year-old was gunned down in front of more than 300 young people at a disco night at Streatham Ice Arena, Streatham High Road.
Terrified teens watched as James was shot twice by a black youth in dark clothing at 10.55pm.
The former Carshalton College student managed to stagger a few meters onto the ice before he collapsed.
He was rushed to St George's Hospital, Tooting where he was pronounced dead at midnight.
Officers have made numerous appeals and the James' mum, Tracey who lives in New Malden, supported a Crimewatch reconstruction of the killing in November.
Although police have made a number of arrests, with four people remaining on bail, no one has been charged with James' murder.
Operation Tridents Detective Chief Inspector Adnan Qureshi, who is leading the investigation, said: "The investigation in to James' murder is still very much active and we are determined to bring to justice those who were involved.
"We know there are witnesses to the murder who know who committed the murder. They can be confident that the evidence they have will be treated with the utmost confidence and that if the case comes to court there are a number of protective packages we can put in place to protect their identity.
"We need people to stand up and work with the police to help rid their community of James's murderers."
Anyone with information into the murder should call the incident room on 020 8247 4554 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
- Four people arrested in connection with the murder inquiry include a 16-year-old from South Norwood and a 16-year-old from Balham who were both bailed and ordered to return to a south London police station next month.
