Pop's Peter Pan Cliff Richard has blasted The Beatles' branding some of their tunes "horrific".
Sir Cliff, from Weybridge, believes some of their songs were "out of tune".
Although the 67-year-old paid tribute to the band for producing their own sound and style he attacked some of the group's guitar work.
He even suggested some of the worst tracks should have been re-recorded.
Speaking to Q Magazine Cliff said: "I couldn't believe that here they were in this high-tech age, with four-track recording machines, and they couldn't go back and do it with a tuned guitar.
"Being out of tune - I find it unforgivable."
Cliff went on to explain he had achieved things ever the world's biggest band had not and said he is the Ultimate Pop Star.
