Shots have been fired and cash stolen in an armed robbery at a post office in south east London.
Police were called to the scene at the post office in Portland Road in the SE25 area just before 9.35am today.
No injuries were reported.
A man left the scene before police arrived and enquiries are ongoing to locate him.
A fire officer was also on scene.
Witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 1789/30May.
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 09:34hrs on Monday, 30 May, to reports of an armed robbery at a commercial premises on Portland Road, SE25.
"Officers attended along with London Fire Brigade.
"It was reported shots had been fired at a counter and a quantity of cash stolen.
"No injuries have been reported.
"The man had left the scene before officers arrived and enquiries are ongoing to locate him.
"Any witnesses are asked to call 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting CAD quoting CAD 1789/30May."
