A road has been closed in Croydon after a suspected wanted man was throwing furniture into the street.
The man was throwing the furniture into Croydon High Street from a building.
Police were called to the scene near to the junction with Katherine Street at 8.10am today.
Both ways from Scarbrook Road to Katharine Street have been closed while officers deal with the incident.
London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade have been called as a precaution.
Some members of the public have been evacuated from their flats to ensure their safety.
There are currently no reports of any injuries.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Officers were called at 08:10 on Wednesday, 1 June to High Street Croydon, near the junction with Katherine Street.
“A man who is suspected to be wanted by police was believed to be in a building at the location.
“Officers attended and a man threw items of furniture into the street.
“Local roads have been closed while police deal.
“LAS and LFB have been called as a precaution.
“Some members of the public have been evacuated from their flats to ensure their safety.
“No reports of any injuries.”
