Crystal Palace starlet John Bostock has played a vital role to help England U17s into tonight's final of the Algarve Tournament in Portugal.
The 16-year-old speedster made telling contributions in the victories over Denmark and France to push the Three Lions into a deciding match with hosts Portugal.
And Bostock, who became the Eagles' youngest-ever player at 15 years 287 days when he appeared against Watford in October 2007, has delighted club manager Neil Warnock with his form.
Warnock said: "I think the experience he is getting with England is vital for him.
"I only agreed to let him go if he would play because he could be here helping us otherwise.
"It's great for him and the future of Palace."
