A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in South Croydon.
The incident happened in Kingsdown Avenue yesterday (June 14) shortly after 9.30am.
London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance crews attended.
The pedestrian, who was a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were called at 9.33am on Tuesday, 14 June to Kingsdown Avenue, South Croydon.
“A car was reported to have been in collision with a pedestrian.
“London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene.
“The pedestrian, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
