The driver of a stolen car has smashed through the wall of a front garden in Purley.
A grey VW golf, which is believed to have been stolen, crashed through the wall and into the front garden of the home on Monday night.
Police were called to Woodcote Valley Road at around 11.40pm.
The driver had already fled before police arrived and no arrests have been made.
Police are asking witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them quoting reference number 8344/13JUN.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 23:42hrs on Monday, 13 June to reports of a car in collision with the front wall of a residential property at Woodcote Valley Road, Purley.
“Police attended.
“At the scene a grey coloured VW Golf had driven through a low wall and had come to a stop in the front garden of a house.
“The driver of the vehicle, which is believed to have been stolen, fled the scene prior to police arrival.
“There have been no arrests.
“Enquiries continue.
“Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 8344/13JUN.”
